Day 382 - 20 July 2006 I get visitors! so for the first time in a long time, a few friends decide they want to come see my place. Samira, Marcia & Ildo come by to visit and hang out at my house for an afternoon, and couldn’t be more delighted. by visiting, eventually that means that the two girls will use my camera to snap many many pictures of themselves. bear in mind I wasn’t in the room during some of that time and I definitely wasn’t takin most of those pictures. somewhere down the line my hair was bein combed and even braided, but she eventually lost her attention span (thank goodness) and instead took more pictures. eventually there came a point when the girls wanted to borrow my camera to take home and have their very own photo shoot. I said no, and of course the s#!t hit the fan. tryin to explain that I don’t want my electronics broken in a culture that’s all about sharing and not worrying about stupid stuff like that is one of the hardest situations I’ve ever put myself into. for a day there, it sure seemed like they weren’t ever gonna talk to me again. in fact, it’s still a bit weird a week or so later. hopefully this will change and bygones will be bygones… <--- bolo de banana                dia da caminada --->
