Day 199 - 18 January 2006 Próximo Curso de Informática a glimpse into official work talk between my director and I (via the secretary)... 01.11.06 secretary- the director said your class starts next week me- really? are you sure? (suspiciously disbelieving) 01.12.06 secretary- the director said your class will start next Tuesday me- really? are you sure? (wondering if it’s true) 01.13.06 secretary- are you ready for your class next Tuesday? me- sure! (sarcasm at it’s finest. I start to wonder if anybody will even show.) 01.17.06 one student shows up...and YES! he’s another guy who works at the electric company... (will any more students show up tomorrow?) 01.18.06 3 more students show up and nobody has ANY computer experience YES! that was my original target market for my first course...YAAAY! now I have to create new lesson plans...BOO! at least all the students get their own computer...unless of course more trickle in as the course goes on... <--- BOAS FESTAS!                island reunion --->
