Day 137 - 17 November 2005 Clear day, confused students wow today was clear! S. Vicente wasn’t fuzzy was he? and the montanhas d’ sentanton! WHOA! I have pics here to prove it. yeeeeaYEAH! I guess that balances out my horrível aula. yesterday I was the man and my students were catchin on quick and getting all I was sayin. today, not so much. they had lots of trouble understanding the concept and I didn’t explain it very well, then gave them a confusing exercise. poop on me. and I forgot to explain one vital part of what I was teaching. silly me. yeah, got it, workin in it, thanks. got another new student today to max us out at 10. she’s a cool girl and told a bunch of kids right outside our room to take their noise somewhere else...hahaha...so I did my laundry on the roof for the first time in the sun. what a great 3 hour workout! and I got work on my tan! all that was before my horrid lesson of the day and I prolly looked like a broken man on the walk home. would’ve taken it to the bottle, but instead downed a whole pack of these hapa cookies made with one dark and one light wafer surround a sweet cream filling. speakin of cookies, know what I miss? FILIPINOS! the cookies! (well, the people too) but yeah, the caramel coated crunchy donut shaped cookies from training way back in the day. (2-4 months ago) I used to buy a pack a week (they were a bit on the expensive side) to “represent” and “support my peepos.” gotta love the brown pride and of course, urbody loved the Filipinos! so I chilled on the water tank on our roof to watch the sun set behind the mountains to the west as the hapa cookies swam around in my tummy. all that combined for a calming effect that made me forget all about my screwed up lesson. had another necessary (although way too drawn out) beat it to death talk with my roomie about hiring a full time maid to clean and cook for us. it was productive, but in the style of my roomie, was about 2 hours too long and super repetitive. y’all should know that I looooooooove repetition...NOT. whatever though, at least it made us both comfortable with the terms we want and prepared him for a meeting he’s going to have with our prospect in 2 days. guess we’re really doin it... <--- usando o teclado                structured life ---> |
