Cape Verde
Day 91 - 2 October 2005
quit it with the card games already

so for some reason lately, i’ve been finding myself on my computer playin those annoyingly addictive card games. you know the ones...Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, Hearts, or as they’re called in my center’s comp. lab... Solitário Spider, FreeCell, & Copas. i can’t stand the aches when Copas breaks me and resort mainly to the creepy crawly lonely game of Spider Solitaire. only when that really bugs me do i let myself go and step into the confinements of FreeCell. (i know, terrible multitasking punning. what can i say? i’m bored!) so anyhoo- i’m just lettin ya know. that’s what i’m up to. as sad as it is, i find comfort in knowing that i can always play cards with myself. i’m kinda missin that about training. havin 15+ folks to jump into the intensity of 13 with, or the sheer frantic velocity of speed, or the quick-long tranquil game of yuker. alas, with nobody to hit the deck with, i must resort to the han SOLO way of doin things... on a lighter note, bcuz of that, i’m still nearly completely useless here. this weekend i did nothing. i played card games on the computer. i thought about what to write in my journal and got so lazy that i just thought about it and never let the path from my brain to my hand ever be traveled. just a quick shout out to my buddy Yoko for the super cool brown leather journal that ties up with a matching leather string. i feel very old school reporter-turned-author exploring the seemingly undiscovered depths of one small facet of the Third World. in this funny case i’ve landed in the most developed of the developing countries on the continent of Africa. well, the journal sure makes me feel cool anyways...and it’s already half full! so THANKS A BUNCH YOKO! and with that, i depart...hope all’s well back on the home front...

<--- long day of...                oh the food! --->
