Day 19 - 22 July 2005 São Domingos - firsts called home for the first time. heard of trainee drama for the first time. drank my weight in pontxi for the first time. ran into my host parents at a party in town for the first time. good times. there was a big concert in the concrete soccer field today and the whole town went (must have if my parents from the fora did). funny to see them escorted here in the back of the pulisia SUV. which of course means I got a luxurious ride home...hahaha...it was crazy to see SD come to life out here. so many folks just hangin around in the streets outside of the concert and nearby bars. didn’t actually go inside the concert/dance party cuz the price kept rising in the first hour when nobody was even inside yet, but did climb on the roof of the stage and peer over at the dancin masses. looked like a good time, but still had fun with the shell station activities- 3 amigos in full effect, but somehow I feel like a third wheel...interesting...and just for the record, back home must be the ONLY country where folks don’t xixi anywhere they like. <--- more birfdays                Calheta & visitors --->
