Day 18 - 21 July 2005 S. Domingos - more birfdays so a double feature today with two birthdays makin July THE month for this year’s trainee’s birthday folks totallin close to 6 or 7. a li’l time at the monkey bar after a li’l cake and dance lesson from the cutest 3 girls, one of them a host sister of one of the trainees. it sure was interesting to see these girls under 10 teachin us how to shake our bums and grind and get low. all of us guys just didn’t feel right watchin, and the ladies were tryin to get into it. it’s amazin how the girls just moved and made it look so easy. they got mad skills yo. I swear I’ve seen some of those moves in clubs and on videos back home...it’s just...different when kids are doin it...yeah. I got home for the first time after dark tonight and my dad was the only one here. weird. I guess I missed a family party for a cousin at my host mom’s sister’s place in the next neighborhood over. my dad just plopped himself in front of the telejornal so I plopped myself on my bed in my room to write this and pass out (some things never change). I woke up a few hours later with the light still on and ended up just turnin it off and re-passin out...hahaha...gotta work on that. and I will, believe you me... <--- Cidade Velha                S.
